An Industry Vet, A Student of People

Dan Kinkade (Principal) - Dan left the institutional investment management world to start KIB because he saw an opportunity to deliver a service that retail investors didn't have access to, or weren't aware of, and wealthy investors paid too much for.  Launching KIB meant going from being part of an institutional team that managed hundreds of millions of dollars, to building his business one client at a time.

You’re more likely to find Dan talking to employees of a company, or testing out their products, rather than staring down a computer monitor looking for investment insight.  People are where he believes you find a deeper understanding of what drives companies.

He has over 10 years of hands-on investment research experience.  From his first week in the business, until launching Kinkade Investment Boutique, LLC, he’s worked directly with  investment managers that cumulatively managed over $1 billion in stock portfolios.  He's worked in several investment platforms, from mutual funds to hedge funds.  Additionally, his independent research has rounded out his professional and academic work.

On a personal level, Dan would rather play a hard fought game of mediocre tennis, than watch sports on TV, or listen to philosophy courses from The Teaching Company, rather than catch the latest political pundit on the air.  But above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife Amy and their three children.

Dan graduated with honors from Drexel University where he majored in Finance and Economics.  He also completed his Masters degree in Finance at Drexel.
